About Me

Sustainable Containables is the brainchild of Karen - proud wife and mom of two adult children, a speech-language pathologist turned biofeedback practitioner and stress management coach. The name Sustainable Containables came to her in a dream one night, igniting her entrepreneurial spirit and inspiring the launch of this small family business. Karen and her family reside in Vancouver, BC, Canada. In her journey, she's been inspired to delve into the world of wellness, striving for balance, healing, and restoration. The path wasn't always easy, as her family faced - and continues to face - the unique challenges of special needs - primarily autism (ASD) and Lyme-related diseases. As she and her family navigated these challenges, Karen spent countless hours researching in an effort to find answers that would help bring healing to her loved ones. It was during this time that she became aware of the harmful effects of common household and environmental toxins on physical, mental, and emotional health, a realization that would go on to shape one of the central missions of Sustainable Containables. This led to the birth of their company slogan, "Healthy Home, Healthy Earth, Healthy You." Drawing from personal experiences and insights gained along the way, Sustainable Containables is committed to providing premium, plastic-free alternatives that contribute to a healthier home, Earth, and you!
